You may not be aware that the "Unborn Victims of Crime Act" is scheduled for debate on Feb 29 and Parliamentary vote on March 5. click  here to read Bill C-484

This bill would give fetuses personhood, and it has a chance of passing.
Not only is it a foot-in-the-door to recriminalizing abortion, it would also endanger the rights of all pregnant women, and violate women's equality rights in
general.
 

Here's what you can do to help:
1. Sign our petition against the bill:

2. Send a letter to your MP urging them to vote against the bill.

3. Post a link to the Petition on your website or blog.
4. Spread the word about the dangers of this bill, with links to our petition and sample letter, to all your networks, friends, colleagues, etc.

The Nanaimo Women’s Centre free clothing exchange is an important resource for many women in our community. We promote the free exchange of items and do not charge for any of the items donated to the Centre.
We gladly accept clean gently used clothing such as practical women’s wear, business wear, seasonal wear, children’s wear and small toys. We also accept smaller household items such as linens, towels, etc..

Donation of toiletries, hygiene products, and sealed non–perishable food is welcome.
Donations are accepted at the Women’s Centre during Drop In hours 10–3pm Tuesday–Friday.

Volunteers Needed!

We are currently seeking volunteers to facilitate weekly women’s groups.
